On any given project, I work for one side. If I'm representing the owner, I'm not also working for the integrator, and the reverse is true too.
When you hire Consolidated Voltage, you get me. Not a junior engineer who shows up after the sales meeting, and not a team that needs to stay billable. The person you talk to on day one is the person who designs your system and signs off on it at the end.
A few rules I don't bend on:
Full Disclosure
In 2023, I founded a low-voltage integration company in Tennessee, which my wife and I own. It operates in a different region, and it never bids on projects I design or am consulting as a representative on. I tell every client that up front, and I'll put it in writing.
Staying in the integration business is also what keeps me useful to you. I'm current on standards, and I know what equipment and labor actually cost because I see real numbers every week. When I review a bid, I'm not guessing what fair looks like. I priced one last week.
Outside of Work
I grew up in East Tennessee and moved to Murfreesboro in 2013 to attend Middle Tennessee State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in 2018 while working full time.
These days I split my time between Nashville and the Northeast, and I'm headed north for cooler weather and the kind of pubs that make you feel like you're in Ireland.
I travel a lot for business and pleasure, which works out well since I'm married to a travel agent. We also have three dogs. I'm an MTSU Blue Raider at heart and a Tennessee Volunteer by marriage, so college football season is a big deal in our house.
